Pectoralis major (chest)
The chest muscle. Involved in bringing an open arm forwards or across the body.

Where is it?
The muscle covering the front of the chest. It runs from the collarbone (clavicle), breastbone and ribs to the upper arm bone.

- Bring an open arm forwards and across the body
- Rotate the arm inwards

They work in strap exercises where the arms close in front of the body, and when the arms support the body. Watch that the shoulders do not roll forwards as the arms come together.
